This video shows you how to take a dimension from your diagram; then using a pair of dividers and a fat marker pen accurately scribe a line on your metal for breaking to form a chassis frame.

I will be producting a series of videos covering the key tasks and skills involved in scratch building a model locomotive. These will be on my YouTube channel Simon Bolton Scratch Building.

My first video is Taking measurements from drawings. This covers using a pair of dividers to measure dimensions from a locomotive diagram in 4mm scale and translate these measurements to a drawing in 7mm scale.
